Harvard has retained its full Blueprint status!
The Blueprint diversity mark helps organisations attract, retain and nurture diverse talent. It helps talented Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Ethnic Minority comms pros find employers committed to supporting them to achieve their career dreams.
This is the third time we’ve gone for the Blueprint. In 2021 we achieved Ally status, in 2023 we achieved Full status, and we have secured Full status once again today.
I cannot overstate how important the Blueprint has been to our DE&I journey, as it provides a powerful framework against which we have evolved and built our culture and processes.
Elizabeth Bananuka, Founder BME PR Pros & Blueprinted said:
“Harvard’s recent reapplication for The Blueprint not only highlighted the agency’s continued commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion, it cemented its place as one of the great DEI trailblazers in the PR and comms industry. From disability to class, race to gender, sexuality to religion, from recruitment to culture and staff engagement, the agency’s strategy remains ambitious as it is transparent, accountable, measurable and clever.
“The reapplication is evidence that Ben Roberts, Lorna Hughes, Rachel Friend, Henni Granger and their colleagues remain as committed as ever to creating a truly inclusive business. In the midst of the “DEI is dead” news storm, the reapplication made for an inspiring read. On behalf of the judges, it’s an honour and a privilege to award full Blueprint status to Harvard, an organisation continuing to walk the DEI talk.”
At Harvard, our commitment to DE&I is as strong as ever, and is the cornerstone of our people-first promise: to create an environment where anyone from any background feels safe, enabled and inspired to make their move. This is something we report back every year in our annual DE&I report.
While this is a moment to celebrate, it is also a moment to reflect.
The news today is filled with headlines about companies and organisations rolling back DE&I programmes and commitments. It’s never been more important for us to be resolute in our commitment and activity – individually and collectively.
We will use our reconfirmed status as a springboard for an even better year on DE&I. Whether that’s thinking about the way we treat each other each day, our engagement with our DE&I pillar teams, or being a stronger voice in the industry.
