SALARY: £80,000-£85,000

Are you a brilliant team or Practice leader – for clients and teams? We’re looking for a talented Director of Marketing to join our thriving team on a 10-month fixed term contract (FTC).
With a focus on providing strategic counsel to clients, driving leads and growth in our Marketing Practice, and nurturing a team of five talented marketers, you are the senior figure and big picture thinker for your portfolio of accounts and the account teams.
As a long-term FTC leading a growing Marketing Practice, you are someone who wants to be engaged in our agency and help us thrive, using your 10+ years of marketing experience to do so!

… trusted advisor to our clients – able to develop and help to deliver brilliant marketing programmes
… guide to our account teams – helping them develop their marketing skills and experience
…commercially astute – able to drive revenue and growth in existing clients
…proactive ideas generator and collaborator between client and creative, design, editorial, planning or production
…knowledge and experience in working with technology brands
You are the senior leader who helps our clients develop strong marketing strategies and then deliver programmes based on that. You bring strong marketing understanding and experience to everything you do – acting as advisor to both client, team and the wider agency. You ultimately help us to think bigger and better, producing best-in-class strategic, creative and often integrated marketing work.
What you do
For our clients…
- Marketing strategy development
- Content marketing programme management – not content development
- Digital marketing strategy and expertise
- Owned channel strategy
- Senior client counsel (clients are often CMO/SVP Marketing level on brand-side)
- People management – running a team of five (supported by Associate Director and Account Director)
- New business pitch leadership and presentation skills
- Growth opportunity identification and driving with existing clients
- Lead generation and supporting wider Harvard programme
- Commercial understanding (will be working alongside Associate Director to run a shadow P&L for Harvard’s Marketing Practice)
- Good understanding of technology brands and the industry
For our team…
- Partner with an excellent Associate Director to lead a thriving Marketing Practice – visible, vocal and in touch with everyone on the team
- Guide and mentor members of the team, leading by example and sharing best practice advice
- Work as a team player in the agency and identify opportunities for creative, editorial and planning to be involved wherever needed
- Be a leading player in updating and improving working practices alongside Associate Directors and Account Directors
For our agency…
- Run a shadow P&L – being in control of client budgets, revenue and pipeline management
- Be a vocal and positive member of Harvard’s Senior Leadership Team over the 10-month period
- Identify growth opportunities in your client portfolio and work to convert them
- Lead new business opportunities – partnering with various members of the Harvard team to deliver
