Some great news to celebrate here at Harvard: we have once again ranked highly in B2B Marketing’s The B2B Marketing Agencies Benchmarking Report 2021.

Featuring at number 19 in the Top 95 B2B Marcomms Agencies list, it’s the third year in a row that Harvard has made the top 20 in the UK’s best B2B marketing agencies listings – and coincides with our 10th year of consecutive growth.

2020 was a particularly challenging year for all agencies, whatever their specialism, however, thanks to some brilliant creative thinking and hard work from the Harvard team combined with the faith shown in us by our loyal clients, it was a successful year for us.

A year in which we helped guide our clients through their toughest comms challenges yet.

A year in which we supported brands on campaigns, content and digital events to bring them closer to their own customer-base.

A year in which we launched a new D&I strategy.

And a year in which we focused more than ever on our own people.

This success is also a reflection of the sector that we operate in: Technology. For many of our clients – whether a global telco, cloud services provider or critical infrastructure partner – 2020 was a year that their services were called upon more than ever before. However, rather than exploiting the opportunity, brands reverted back to best practice b2b marketing and focused on helping, rather than selling. Gestures that will pay dividends in years to come in terms of customer loyalty and advocacy.

The B2B Marketing Agencies Benchmarking Report tends to focus on top-line growth – in fact David Rowlands, Editor of B2B Marketing points out how “on average agencies’ headcounts have risen and their gross income increased” – and this is also reflected in the top trends from The 2021 B2B Marketing Trend Tracker where ‘Growth Marketing’ ranked as the number one priority for both clients and agencies alike.

However, the most important benchmark for us at Harvard is the growth of our people which we have continued to remain focused on despite the challenging times. We’re proud to have promoted more than 22 people and had 19 new joiners in 2020 while providing stability for our people and clients with no furloughed staff, and have tried our best to create and maintain a culture and remote working environment where everyone can feel safe and thrive.

Here’s to an even better 2021 for all of us.
